In Dubai, there’s a new way to make a splash. Last month, Guinness World Records announced that the Address Beach Resort has the tallest outdoor infinity pool at 964.2 feet.
Located on the 77th floor of the hotel, the massive pool measures about 311 feet long and 54 feet wide, nearly twice the size of a standard Olympic swimming pool.
From this vantage point, which is about nine-tenths the height of the Eiffel Tower, there are expansive views of the city, including the city’s iconic Burj Al Arab, Palm Jumeirah, and the World Archipelago, as well as another record breaker, the world’s tallest Ferris Wheel, Al Ain Dubai, CNN notes.
“We are extremely honored to receive this honor,” Mark Kirby of Emaar, the resort’s parent company, said in a statement. “Guinness World Records lists the Address Hotels and Resorts as the epitome of luxury and on travelers’ bucket lists.”
The infinity pool is just one of the pools at the Address Beach Resort – the property also has an adult-only pool, a family pool, and a splash pad for kids. The facilities are open to all hotel guests. Still, the infinity pools are limited to guests 21 and older, according to CNN. Asian fusion restaurant Zeta Seventy Seven is also located on the 77th floor, adjacent to the pool, offering the same land views.
This spectacular view isn’t the only Guinness World Record this hotel holds. The resort is part of a 77-story twin tower. The two buildings are connected from the 1st to 13th floors and by a bridge between the 63rd and 77th floors, which holds the record for the highest usable bridge floor at 965.7 feet.
The Address Beach Resort, which opened in December 2020, has 217 rooms and suites, 443 furnished homes, and 478 unfurnished homes.
Interestingly, another record-setting pool is set to open in London later this month. According to CNN, when it opens on May 19, the 115-foot-tall oasis of clarity at Embassy Gardens will be the world’s largest freestanding acrylic pool structure.
